Spit your hottest 8 bar verse describing your city. Remember to incorporate your name and city in the opening bar. Do Not state your name and city and THEN start your verse. Get creative, and put your city on the map.
Send your 8 bars mixed down and with the acapellas in a .zip file to subs@wearyourcity.com
We will review your track and let you know if your verse made the cut.
RULES/DIRECTIONS : ALL PARTICIPANTS READ!!!
1. Verse must be 8 bars long. NO LONGER!
THERE IS THE INTRO > 4 Bar Chorus > Then the beat drops and plays for 8 bars. that last 8bars is where your verse will go. Please don't go over, or start in the wrong place. Your verse can't be used.
2. Studio quality. If it sounds like you whispering in the shower, please don't even waste our time.
3. There may or may not be very recognizable names on the track. We are working hard to make sure that happens. So you understand why you have to be on your A-game.
4. Realize there can only be one verse per CITY. So you shouldn't just rep "New York". Get specific. High volume city's like ATL will have lots of competition. The hottest verse for that city will get there verse on the track.
5. No excessive cursing. Lets get creative with this one.
6. We are also working hard to push the song, which may or may not include being featured on numerous major hip hop sites across the web, and distributed on various well known mixtapes.
7. All submissions must be in ASAP. The engineer will have to mix the record, which will take some time.
8. The record will then be distributed to the artists who's verse made the track. You can use it for non commercial usage such as, mixtapes, myspaces, etc...
